The Condor uses the ascendent air currents to glide, acheiving 5 to 6 km. It lives in groups formed by several dozen individuals; it nests on cliffs  and one or two white eggs with brownish spots are laid.

In South America, the Condor is distributed along the Cordillera de los Andes, from Venezuela up to Tierra del Fuego and Isla de los Estados.
The Cóndor is a scavenger feeding on carrion, and, even though it is considered a vulture, it has no relationship with them; its nearest relatives are the storks.  The head and neck lack pens, what  eases cleaning after eating.  They rub against the ground or rocks to get rid of the blood and putrid flesh adhered when sticking their long necks inside the cadavers. They have a strong and sharp peak that allows them to open even the toughest pelt that other carrions could not break. Their legs have four fingers, three big fore fingers with blunt nails, the opposite fourth finger out of place, and less developed with respect to the others.  This is a very important characteristic to define as we can observe the difference between a hunter as the Eagle, who does have a developed fourth finger with strong, curved and sharp nails that are prensile.
In nature, Condors lay one egg every two to three years.
