Visas
Citizens from Western Europe, Asia, South America, North America, Australia, New Zealand, or, South Africa do not require visas in order to enter Peru, but, are required to present a valid passport.  With respect to citizens from Bolivia, Ecuador and Chile, they do not need a passport or a
 

visa to enter some regions in Peru.  In these cases, the authorized extent of time is 90 days. 

Countries that do require a visa to enter Peru are:  Costa Rica, Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, Salvador, Honduras, Panama and Nicaragua.  In order to obtain further information you must consult with the Peruvian diplomatic representative in your country.

In order to enter Peru the passport must be valid for at least six months after your arrival to the country.  If the passport should expire at the country, you may renew it completely free of charge at your country's Embassy in Peru.  If your passport is completely full of devices, but does not have an expiration date, you may ask for more pages to be added to your passport at the Embassy in your country.

Upon arrival, passengers visiting Peru are given a tourist card that must be filled up with personal  information.  Each card has a duplicate and the immigration office stays with one copy

Visa Extensions
When entering Peru, the tourist card you receive will allow a permanency of up to 90 days.  It may be renewed three times, each time for 30 days.  The first renewal does not have a charge.   Nevertheless, further extensions have an approximate charge of US$30.  If you wish to prolong the extent of your stay for more than one month, you must abandon the country and come back to start once again the procedures.  The renewal process takes less than one hour.

Requirements to prolong your stay are:

▪ Free printed form F-004.
▪ Note of charge for S/. 24.00
▪ Bank receipt from Banco de la Nación  for immigration quality change US$ 200.00 or US$ 300.00 depending on the case. (Cancellation when the file is accepted)
▪ Annual foreign fee US$ 20.00
▪ Valid passport and embarkment and disembarkment card (TED) or updated Immigration Card.

▪ International exchange card.
▪ Quality change to temporal visa $ 50.00 (Cancellation when file is approved)
