Sipan was discovered half a kilometer away from the town of Sipan, situated in the Lambayeque department, North of Lima. The remains correspond to the Mochica culture. The remains of the tomb found by Doctor Walter Alva correspond to this culture.
It has a very distinctive season, summer. There is almost no rainfall and the temperature rises up to 34° C. The rest of the year it has an autumnal climate, with permanent winds and temperatures that range from 17° to 25°C, that is, an annual average temperature of 22° C. |
